Overview
Powerlink was engaged to connect X-Elio’s Blue Grass Solar Farm to the existing Chinchilla to Columboola transmission line in the Western Downs. The 200MW solar farm is located near Chinchilla and generates energy to power around 80,000 homes. Powerlink built a new substation at Cameby to facilitate connection of the solar farm to the transmission network.
Status
Construction works for the connection project along with the energisation of the customer facility occurred during 2022.
