Overview
Powerlink was engaged to connect Vena Energy’s Wandoan South Battery Energy Storage System to the transmission network in the Surat area. The battery has an initial capacity of 100MW to power up to 57,000 homes annually. The project involves building around 800 metres of underground cable into the Wandoan South Substation.
Status
Powerlink's construction works for the connection project, along with energisation of the customer facility, occurred during 2021.
