Regulated revenue
Powerlink Queensland collects its regulated (prescribed) revenue as determined by the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) through transmission charges published each year.
To assist in improving our customers' understanding of transmission pricing – we have published some helpful information sheets, videos and other resources to help explain this very complex topic. This information is provided for educational purposes and should be considered general in nature.
How are prescribed transmission prices set?
Transmission prices are developed annually. The video below introduces the key inputs that feed into Powerlink's annual transmission pricing process which ultimately determines how much prescribed revenue we collect each year.
