Project background

The construction of the Gladstone SuperGrid Training Centre and Transmission Hub is led by Powerlink Queensland and driven by the Queensland Energy and Jobs Plan which launched in September 2022. The plan outlines how Queensland’s energy system will transform to deliver clean, reliable and affordable energy to provide power for generations. This investment in renewable energy projects also translates to long-term job opportunities for our regions.

Training our next generation of workers will ensure we build the capability and capacity locally to support the transition and become a world leader in renewable energy.

As we continue along the path of building our Hub, if you're interested in seeing the envisioned appearance of this state-of-the-art facility upon completion, we invite you to view the video below for a fly through of the facility.

We would like to acknowledge our build partners Architectus, Aurecon, Gleeds and 8LA.
